Building a house with Feng Shui at front of mind

Building or renovating a house is an incredibly exciting time, and the perfect time to create the ultimate space for your and your family.

Through the process, you are given an amazing chance to optimise how the numbers land and what parts of your home can be optimal for their needs. Having a house that is North facing, is not enough information to go by as to what is going to be the optimal for the build.

During an analysis of a block of land, we can work out where the best place to have your front door or what we call the facing, which could potentially mean changing the angle of the property by mere degrees. This could be the difference between a home that is good for people and good for money and bad for people/bad for money- I know what I would rather? Who wouldn’t want a home that is good for people/good for money

Further on from that we can work out as a team, what is important to you. Are you going to be working from home, do you need a separate area for the kids? We want to make sure that the good numbers end up being where you spend a lot of time, like bedrooms and the study, and not so good numbers where you don’t spend a lot of time, like the laundry (if you can help it). Not much good having great numbers literally in the toilet – am I right.

The same process can be completed for a renovation. If you are adding on a 2nd floor, extension or perhaps lifting the house, this can actually change the “birth date” of your home. So it again is a perfect opportunity to create a layout or floor plan that will suit the entire family.

We are also able to ensure that each family member is sleeping and eating in their optimal position. For example, my power position for work is the north east, which is where my back faces in my office. However the optimal position for me for sleeping is for my head to be facing the south west – which unfortunately is impossible. My head does however point in a westerly position which is still ok for me.

There is a lot of planning and design that goes into ensuring your home is supportive, however if it is done correctly, it will also ensure that families in the future will also benefit by it being naturally supportive.

It’s not you, it’s your house

You know, a lot of the time we tend to bumble through life, working things out as we go. We all hit road bumps along the way, but what if all of a sudden your world just starts falling apart, for no apparent reason?

It this is happening to you, or has in the past few months or years, then you could very well being living in the reason for it. Your home.

Every home has its own personality, and quirks that go along with it. You may have a house that is good for people & good for money, or bad for people bad for money, or the remaining 2 variants of it.

This personality is due to a number of factors. What year the house was built, and where the natural face is of the home and where the house sits on the land its built on.

What I love about doing personal reports is finding out what is going on for the residents of the home, and then seeing what the house is telling me. Generally it is very reflective of issues for the occupants.

For example, a client was having issues with money and also work. She was struggling to find full time employment, especially in an environment that valued loyalty above all else. She had had issues with people she worked with bringing her down, and was feeling very lost, and was in need to help.

Upon looking at her home, it was obvious what the problem was, and it certainly wasn’t her. Her home was bad for people and bad for money. This then made total sense as to why she was struggling to get ahead and live the life she wanted.

She was instructed to install “water” and “mountain” as support for her home.

Within 24 hours she had a job interview, and was offered the role on the spot. Since then a number of things had changed for her, and she has gone back to her normal bubbly self.

These issues however, had been occurring since she moved into the home 4 years earlier! No wonder she was at her wits end!

These things had absolutely nothing to do with the person. She was doing nothing wrong. It was literally her house.

My own personal experience also fits in with this. My home (prior to remedies being put in) was Bad for people, good for money. I received 2 windfalls when I first moved here, however the relationships within the home were not great. Did I have my remedies in? Yes I did, but I know that they were moved by others, and some remedies weren’t prominent enough.

What I noticed this year by putting remedies where they should be and more than what I needed, things have shifted completely for me. I have been very quickly achieving things that have been on my vision board or To Do list for years with complete ease.

So when I do a report on a home that hasn’t got a favourable personality, it makes me laugh with glee, because I can already tell that the occupants may have been having a hard time, but things are about to change in a massive way, and they have no idea how wonderful things can truly be for them.

Decluttering – it’s not set and forget

Whilst Feng Shui is a very intentional modality, we cannot deny the fact that the keeping of clutter does zero for ones mood or energy. Think about it, how good does your space feel once you have had a big purge of stuff or complete a big deep clean of your home. It just feels good.

This is something that needs to be a constant in your life. I do it all the time. Stuff builds up very quickly and if we don’t nip it in the bud straight away, then the job becomes so much bigger.

Decluttering Checklist

Why are we pushed to live life for others?

Lifestyle Design is a foreign concept for many people. We are born, die and in between expected to hit a number of milestones to achieve that perfect life. Unfortunately, this expectation is leading to some serious mental health problems and downright confusion in peoples lives.

What if we don’t want to get married, have 2.5 kids and work in a job day in/day out for little return? Why is it considered unattainable or silly to live your life by your own design and follow your own path?

I used to live in the former, a life of expectation. And I never once felt able to achieve it, because I wanted different. I didn’t however understand it at the time, I had always done things my way, but I always felt like I was just the difficult “black sheep”.

This is, until I found Feng Shui.

Feng Shui is a centuries old practice, that takes the energies in your home and optimises them to create harmony, abundance, prosperity and more for those who live inside the four walls. By placing remedies into the different “Guas” which represent 9 different aspects of  your life, we form a balance that was not there previously.

Following the “rules” of this modality has changed my life beyond comprehension. I have come into significant unexpected funds (over $150,000 at last count), have sorted out health issues that have plagued me for years, dealt with any emotional baggage dwelling from my previous life of expectation, obtained jobs with ease – often been offered on the spot, its also assisted in me moving relationships on that were not in my best interest.

By using Feng Shui, and learning more about it by way of becoming a practitioner, have seen great successes from my clients lives as well; from not being able to keep a job, to finding their perfect role; to having homes on the market for way too long, to selling within weeks.

When I am asked to explain how it all works, I can’t as it is simply just magic. My life now is in complete flow. Things happen when I ask the universe to provide. The toxicity that was my life is largely gone. Money is there when I need it, helping hand whenever its required. My life has in laymans terms gone from hard work to ease.

All with the help of a compass, some metal and water.
